Woke up early again and went back to La Sangada Familia and actually went inside and toured it and it was beautiful, then we left for a trip to Tossa De Mar. When we arrived there the water was incredible and there was a huge island with a castle on it. By far one of the prettiest beaches I’ve been too. I tried to convince Madison to go topless, but she wouldn’t. We stayed for a few hours, then went home around 5:00pm. We got ready and walked around and went to this delish vegetarian restaurant Origens and then walked around for eternity trying to find this bar called Espit Chupitos (Shots). We finally found it and once we got in it was definitely a let down. It was cool because they had like over 500 different shots, but it was the tiniest bar I’ve been to. We watched a girl get the Monica Lewinsky shot where you get blindfolded and then you don’t know it but you lick whip cream off of a huge rubber penis that is on top of a bottle of beer, then the bartender sprays the dick at you and all the beer comes out of it. Then the girls I was with got the Harry Potter shot and it was pretty badass with fire. From there, the night turned horrible and we ended up just going back to the hotel.

La Sagrada Familia by Gaudi!

We woke up way early for a bus tour. We went to breakfast then I got sick and was upstairs puking and then we came back down and Alejandro left us. So we were really upset and we ended up having to take a taxi to met them and then we hopped on the bus. We went to the Barcelona futbol stadium and it was beautiful and then we stopped by la sagrada familia basilica for a few minutes. The architecture of the church was the prettiest I’ve ever seen in my life and that is saying a lot because I’ve been to a million cathedrals. After, we got home and then headed to Marco Aldany to get our hair done :)! I got mine re-dyed, Stephanie went blonde, and Mado got a rasta (dread!). Later we got ready and went out to see Harry Potter at midnight! I haven’t seen the previous movie, nor read any of the books, but it was amazing. It was really funny because the movie had Spanish subtitles on so whenever someone addressed Harry it would say “Senor Potter”. After we walked down to the clubs at the beach and went into one called Shoko. It was beautiful and there were a ton of people there. It was right on the beach, so once it closed everyone just walked out of the bar onto the beach. There were hundreds of people just hanging out on the beach drinking and then people would strip down and go in the ocean for a swim. It was definitely incredible and I’m jealous that it isn’t like that at home.

staying in tonight on my last night in madrid because everyone sucks. it doesn’t help that i left my computer charger in madison’s room. i am not a happy girl.

Literally had no sleep and went straight to breakfast then got on the bus at 8:00am for the drive to Barcelona. We stopped at a really pretty square with a beautiful church and they were having mass when we were there. Then we got into town around 5:00pm to our pretty four-star hotel and the rooms were really nice. Later, we tried to go see Harry Potter, but in Spain they don’t do midnight premieres, so we ended up walking around by all the clubs on the beach and just explored the area.

Today was the last day of the first term, so we went out to sol to celebrate. First we went to La Fontana de Oro an Irish pub and then we went to another club that had free beer and sangria. I met this awesome Spanish dude name Manu and we hung out for awhile and then exchanged facebooks. Then we left because Stephanie was wasted and we were sitting outside trying to figure out what to do. We were by two young guys and somehow I started talking to them and then found out they knew English. So we were hanging out with them and we brought them to another Irish Pub and I met some guys from the states. Then we went to get pizza from our favorite pizza person and then met back up with the two younger guys from earlier, Armando and Gabriel. Gabriel was 18 and so adorable and he was born in like London and then moved to Spain when he was 7 and then now goes to school in London. So he talks Spanish, and then when he talks in English it’s with a British accent and it is the prettiest thing ever. Later everyone was getting tired so Emily and I were hanging out with Garbiel and Armando and went to the prettiest place ever and drank champagne and had a awesome time and didn’t get home until like 6:30am.

Back to class and then later that night we all decided we were going to go out to Sol for chocolate con churros that are like world famous at this place called Chocolateria San Gines that’s been open since 1894. We ended up exploring all night and traveling around to different bars to get free drinks and even ended up in a titty bar for a second. We had an awesome time and met tons of people then went and ate pizza and got home pretty late.

I wake up at 6:00am and wake up the girls and then drop cheetos on Dimitri’s face to wake him up and he gets up really quick and starts yelling, “The bulls, the bulls!” So we head over and get a pastry and then go to the barricade where tons of people already are. We wait for eternity for the running that starts at exactly 8:00am. On the dot, the guns go off and we’re like three rows back from the barricade. I am like ducking down to look through a hole in the barricade and I see some people running and then see the legs of like three bulls. After a total of like 2 minutes and 3 seconds the running is over and we walk to the bus station and say goodbye to Dimitri. At the bus station there are people literally sleeping all over the floor. I pass out on the ground because it was like 9:00am and our bus didn’t leave until 5:30pm that night. Eventually we got home after hours of traffic, but Pamplona was deeeefinitely worth it.

ashleyfidget:

i wish i would of came to Spain by myself. i feel like i would be using more Spanish, meeting more people, and actually experiencing the culture…

guess that just means i’ll have to come back.

Went to the bus station to catch our bus to Pamplona that was like five hours long. We finally pull into the city around 5:00pm and there are thousands of people in the streets, sleeping in the parks, and walking around in their white and red. We went for the Festival de San Fermin, which is better known as The Running of the Bulls. We get off the bus and head to El Corte Ingles and everyone buys food and alcohol. We all bought a box of wine each for only 1 euro. It was overwhelming how many people there were and it was awesome because everyone was dressed exactly the same. We wonder around and explore the area and meet so many awesome people.

Emily, Alice, and I end up meeting these three French guys, Simon, Dimitri, and David and we hang out with them the whooole night and next day. They are all the nicest guys ever and we kept making them speak to us in French because it was so amazing. Partying in Pamplona is literally nonstop for the whole week of the festival. Around 4 in the morning we decide to take a nap so we wonder to the park and find a nice area of grass and Madison and Amanda have a towel and blanket, but I am like basically naked in a tank top and shorts that are like spankys and it’s like 50 degrees outside. So Dimitri and I find some cardboard and lay it down and we sleep for like not even an hour. Everyone is either passed out in the grass or some smart people brought sleeping bags and cots to sleep on.
